PATTERNS
INITIAL DESIGNS
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENTS
For this project, I explored the work of Andy Gilmore, focusing on his use of geometric patterns, repetition, and colour. I started by taking my own photographs of fruits including strawberries, apples, oranges, and lemons. I then used Adobe Photoshop to transform these images into abstract patterns by simplifying them into pixelated and geometric designs inspired by Gilmore’s style. After creating these patterns, I applied them to skincare packaging such as serums, toners, moisturisers, and cleansers to create a consistent and modern brand identity. This process allowed me to combine natural elements with digital design, resulting in visually striking and contemporary packaging.
Overall, I think this approach was successful as it helped me create a unique and cohesive brand, while effectively showing the influence of Gilmore’s work through my use of pattern, colour, and digital techniques.
